On August 27, 2025, Mabuhay House Society joined BC’s Filipino organizations to welcome the Honourable Rechie Valdez—first Filipina MP and Minister of Women and Gender Equality, Secretary of State (Small Business and Tourism). The Pinoy Festival Alliance, with UPAABC and the Filipino Canadian Chamber of Commerce, hosted “Breaking Barriers in Business: Achieving Equity and Empowerment.”
