We are proud to invite you to the first-of-its-kind Filipino Youth Mental Health Symposium in the Lower Mainland, presented by Mabuhay House Society in partnership with Kathara Society, Pinoy Pride Vancouver Society, and the University of British Columbia | School of Nursing Okanagan Campus.
Sulong Kabataan is a full-day, youth-centered gathering created by and for Filipinx youth (ages 13–30). It aims to spark dialogue, collective learning, and healing around mental health through a culturally grounded lens.
The symposium will feature research presentations on the social determinants of health and culturally responsive approaches to mental wellness. This will be followed by a panel of youth and community leaders who will share personal stories and strategies grounded in culture, peer support, and the arts. The day will also include a variety of interactive workshops.
This event is free and exclusive to Filipinx youth (ages 13–30).
Note: Selected presentations will be livestreamed for community partners. Please email 📧 community@mabuhayhouse.ca to request access
